Really?

Wow I just have to write. I have been trying to gather Christmas cards for inmates at Terry's work. I thought it would be nice/helpful if I could leave a couple of small boxes in the break room at work and people could, if they wanted to, write a few at lunch. I asked 'Dewey' and he said, "no problem, proceed." The following Monday I came early, put the cards on the table in the upstairs break room and wrote an all employee email explaining the project in detail. Making sure people knew they did not have to participate and not to put any identifying information on the cards, not even a first name. Not 20 minutes later 'Dewey' put out an email, in all caps saying this was not 'Reagan' sponsored, that they were loaning space ( a table in the break room ) out of the kindness of their hearts, no identifying information blah blah blah. It was embarrassing, humiliating, and completely out of line and uncalled for. If he had felt that adamant, all he had to do was say no.
So here I sit day after day sending out holiday cards for the company that cost hundreds of dollars to make, the postage over $3000 already (and we are hardly half way), and this idiot is upset over 40 dollar store cards being sent to inmates in a prison. I'm incredulous.
Please do not ever let me forget this lesson, please.
