Emotional Process of Being Awakened to the Signs of the Second Coming:

Steps:

1) DOUBT

a. Believing the prophesied events will not happen in your life time.

b. Rejecting the message and/or the messenger

c. No feeling of urgency so it can't be true

2) REALIZATION

a. You've received a spiritual witness of the urgency.

b. You've read many visions, prophecies, dreams, etc that have awakened you.

c. You mourn for the wickedness of the world. Mourning the destruction of so many people. Mourning for the pain the earth is experiencing.

d. Realizing your spiritual preparation has been a bit complacent and needs to be re-addressed in a serious way. 

3) FEAR

a. Worrying about the physical events that are meant to come, calamities, plagues, destruction, and infirmities.

b. Feeling you're the last person to know what is going on.

c. Worrying about your current preparations or lack thereof.

d. CAUTION! This is when depression can set in. This is exactly where satan wants you to sit and marinate, in paralyzing fear and depression. Don't let him win your soul! We all know who will overcome and WIN this battle in the end. Now is the time to pick your master, get to work, and don't look back.

4) ANXIETY

a. Lying awake at night worrying about what is to come and how it will all play out. 

b. Worrying about no time to prepare.

c. Worrying about your children and what will happen to all of you. Worrying about your grown children and grandchildren. You wonder how you can get the parents of your grandchildren to see the urgency.

d. Expressing anxieties to others to see if you are going CRAZY!

5) NINJA PREPPER MODE

a. Accepting the fact it will happen and it's time to get going on the preps!

b. Looking in every possible place for ways to get organized and get your life in order.

c. Life priorities completely change at this point. You realize your planned for and hoped for future is not likely to happen. (It's time to cash out the 401K you won't need it anyway.)

d. You overload on trying to learn every possible skill available. This could include purchasing a gun, learning how to make bread from wheat, ways to sanitize water, the shock that comes from when you realize how much toilet paper you're going to need to store. 

e. It's time to exercise like there's no tomorrow, because tomorrow may be VERY different or not at all. And, there will likely be a lot of hiking in your near future. 

f. You consider learning to eat a lot less so your food storage will last longer if you're trained to not eat very much. 

6) SAMUEL THE LAMANITE MOMENT

a. Tell everyone you know to read the books, study the scriptures, study

the scriptures, study the bretheren's words, watch the news, pay attention!

b. You quickly learn who you can and can't tell. Some are willing to listen, most are not. You recognize 'the look' you get when they shut down and stop listening.

7) BUYING SUPPLIES

a. You look for every good deal on Wheat, Oats, Powdered Milk, Beans, toilet paper etc. You add as much as humanly possible to your food supply.

b. You look for every possible place in your home to store water. Purchase the 55 gallon drums as well as fill up every empty bottle in the house.

c. Your biggest concern is a sturdy, heavy, weather resistant tent that will keep warm and be big enough for all your toilet paper.

8) SELLING

a. You look at every useless thing in your home and consider selling it to make room for more supplies. Who needs a couch anyway?

9) SPIRITUAL FOCUS

a. For some this is the very first step, as it should be. If you're spiritually in-tune and able to receive spiritual guidance, you'll know what you need to do for your family. 

b. The TV is shut off, the music is changed, the world is shut out. Spiritual preparation is now a HUGE priority and you can't understand why others aren't preparing in this way. 

c. You seek the guidance and direction of Priesthood leaders. You receive blessings of comfort.

d. Some leaders are not yet awakened. Don't let this discourage you. Keep studying!

10) STUDY

a. This is when you can't get enough information. You want to read every possible book, study the scriptures non-stop, read every talk ever given. You are starving for truth and search everywhere for further light and knowledge.

b. Your 'to-read' list is four pages long.

c. Your temple attendance has tripled. You can't do enough there and can't learn enough, the thirst can't be quenched.

d. You search all the news outlets to see the signs unfolding. 

11) ENOS MOMENT

a. You pray for others, you hope the Lord will open their eyes and they will see the urgency of getting ready for what is coming.

b. You worry about people who are buying cars, buying boats, buying new houses and furniture. You realized a long time ago that purchasing anything that won't sustain life is useless.

c. You worry what side your loved ones will stand on when the great divide happens.

12) PEACE

a. You have come to the realization that the Lord is in charge. You place everything in His hands and trust in His plan and in His timing.

b. You do all you can every day to prepare a little more and help a few more people. You have faith that everything will work exactly as it should.

c. This is also when gratitude takes center stage. You begin to focus on all the beautiful blessings you're been given in your life. You see the Lord's hand in everything happening. You recognize all the simple things you've been blessed with; a warm bed, running water, a hot shower, clean clothing, plenty of food, a beautiful family, many comforts and luxuries that make this mortal life enjoyable.

13) PURE EXCITEMENT

a. You realize the Second Coming is the biggest and most amazing even to ever happen in all of history throughout the eternities. 

b. THE SAVIOR IS COMING!!! You weep with gratitude that He will save, He will provide, He will bless. He will rescue, He is in charge. Your efforts are worth it. HE is worth it!
